Aamirkhan is the villain dhoom-3

Aamir Khan villain in the much awaited sequel Dhoom 3. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor), Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue in their much loved roles of Jai Dixit and Ali. The film will begin shooting end of this year and is slated for a 2012 Christmas release.

ROBO -II ?

Is Shankar willing to make a sequel for Rajini starrer blockbuster Enthiran - The Robot? Sources say that the director already in the mood of creating a sequel for Enthiran with the same team. Shankar also hinted the same in his blog recently. According to reliable sources, Shankar may be started the script work for Robot 2 after the completion of his current project Nanban!

What’s missing in Mankatha?

It is a trend in Kollywood for mass heroes to have a song that speaks highly of their stature or achievements. Ajith has been following this trend since his film Dheena, which released in 2001, with the song Thalapola Varuma.

After a decade of including such songs in his films, the star has requested Venkat Prabhu, the director of Mankatha, not to go in for such a song in the film, say sources.

The talk in Kollywood is that - will Venkat take note of Ajith’s request and do away with it or include such a song for commercial viability.

Will it be Silambarasan, Karthi or Jiiva?

Vetrimaaran’s next may have Jiiva, Karthi or Silambarasan playing the lead roles. The director has said he has the script ready but is yet to finalize the lead star. Vetrimaaran adds that a clear picture regarding the hero of his next will be out in a couple of week’s time and until then the pre-production will go on in full-swing.

The producer of Vetrimaaran’s next, Cloud Nine Movies, is negotiating with all the three stars and is expected to zero in on one who will allot dates at the earliest. Until then, let’s keep our fingers crossed hoping that it would be our favorite star!

Billa 2 doubtful

Going by Yuvan Shankar Raja’s message in a micro-blogging site that he is to begin scoring music for a Telugu film to be directed by Vishnuvardhan, it looks like Ajith’s Billa 2 has been put on hold. Sources in Kollywood was abuzz with news that Vishnu and Ajith will team up for Billa 2 and the shooting will commence in April, i.e., soon after the star is free of Mankatha, a film that is being directed by Venkat Prabbu.

If Vishnu begins the Telugu project now, there are chances that it could drag on beyond April, thereby raising doubts about Billa 2. Ajith and Vishnu are expected to make things clear with an official statement soon.

Vishal and Prabhu Deva decide on March

Vishal’s next project will be directed by Prabhu Deva. The director and actor will commence work on this film in the month of March so that Vishal is completely free from the Bala-directed Avan Ivan. Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva is finalizing the other cast and crew for this film and is looking for suitable locations to can the shots.

Sameera Reddy has been roped in to play Vishal’s lead pair in this untitled film and the venture will be produced by Vishal’s home production GK Films.

It may be mentioned here that Prabhu Deva’s Engeyum Kaadhal with Jayam Ravi in the lead is expected to be released very soon and the songs scored by Harris Jayraj in the film have already turned out to be chartbusters.

Who plays what in 3 Idiots remake?

Everyone is eager to know about who plays what role in the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots which has been named 'Nanban'. According to sources, Vijay will play the main lead, which, of course, goes without saying. Jiiva will essay the role of Sharman Joshi and is super excited about it. The role played by Madhavan will be done by Srikanth.

The powerful role of Boman Irani has gone to Sathyaraj while Sathyan will be stepping into Omi Vaidhya’s shoes. Director-actor SJ Suryah will make a cameo in Nanban and play Javed Jefri’s character. Ileana is the leading lady and Anuya play her sister in the film.
